At NYUAD, she uses genomic approaches to investigate how population structure, demographic history, and hybridization shape genetic diversity in native and invasive mesquite populations. Before joining the evolutionary genomics lab, she studied for her PhD at the Multidisciplinary Institute of Plant Biology (IMBIV, UNC–CONICET) in Argentina, where her research focused on the South American genera Neltuma and Strombocarpa.
